Our Story
We’re Brandon and Stacia, the husband-and-wife team behind Home & Cedar. From our garage in Palm Coast, Florida, we hand-pour candles and bring together home fragrance and soft textiles for the moments that make a house feel like home.
Where it began
Brandon moved to California to serve in the Navy and made it home for more than a decade. After returning to Ohio, he started Grand Candles in his Lakewood condo in 2018.
We first met in high school and reconnected nearly 30 years later. We got married, and Stacia joined Grand Candles.
Grand Candles grew into Home & Cedar as we began to think about fragrance the same way we think about décor: as one of the small details that makes a house feel like home. We still pour every candle by hand in Palm Coast, Florida. That idea is at the heart of Home & Cedar and what we call a softer way of living.

What matters to us
My favorite part of Home & Cedar is the people I get to meet through it. Building this business has given me a way to connect with people who love making their homes feel like their own. It’s also made me want to encourage others who dream of starting a business of their own. I know how much it means to have someone in your corner when you’re figuring things out.
I care about the quality of what I bring into my home, and I bring that same care to what we make. We choose glass for our candle jars and reed diffuser bottles because the vessel is part of what you live with every day. I want it to look as at home on your nightstand or shelf as it would on mine.
To me, that’s what a softer way of living means. It’s taking care with what we make and making time for the people we meet along the way.

What goes into a candle
Every candle is hand-poured in small batches with 100% soy wax and comes with a black lid. Our cotton wicks are coated in beeswax. Our fragrance oils are formulated without phthalates and made to RIFM and IFRA safety standards.
